How to use on the first install - GeoFamily App

1. Creating an Account

Create your account as one of two roles.

⚫ Controller(Administrator, Viewer) Role :

The role is to view the location and status information received from the tracker user on a map and set the behavior of the tracker user device.

⚫ Tracker(Location Reporter) Role :

The role is to transfer the location and status information to the controller user.

If you have created your account as a 'Controller' role, your counterpart user must create their account as a 'Tracker' role.

(This means that both of you must sign up for the account in different roles.) 

A controller user can link one or more tracker users through the pairing procedure.


2. Pairing Process Initiated by Controller User

❶ Make sure first that the counterpart tracker user must create an account with the 'Tracker' role and the user is logged in.

❷ Send a pairing request to the counterpart tracker user after entering his/her phone number in the tracker list menu.

❸ If the counterpart tracker user accepts your pairing request by clicking the [ACCEPT] button or tapping on the notification of the request, the pairing process will be successful.

If any successful reply notification does not come from the counterpart tracker user within a couple of minutes, please contact the user to confirm whether they accepted it, and send the pairing request again.

Rarely, if the installation itself is wrong due to the network environment, try again after uninstalling and reinstalling the app from both phones of yours in a good network environment.

When you install the GeoFamily app and then sign up, or when you re-install it and then log in, you must proceed in a good network environment. Please check the following. 1. If you are using Wi-Fi, make sure there is no exclamation mark next to the Wi-Fi icon at the top of the screen. And, the Wi-Fi signal level should be high. 2. If you are not using Wi-Fi, the data network signal level should be high. 3. The [Power save]/[Power mode] icon in the Quick Panel window must be set to OFF. (OFF is gray color)

Setting the tracker behavior by the controller user - GeoFamily Controller App

The controller user sets and changes the behavior of the counterpart tracker user. First, select the 'Tracker List' menu from the drawer menu. If you have already added the counterpart tracker, its current settings will appear on the tracker list screen. Click on the 'Pencil' image button, and the edit screen will appear and you can amend the settings. Let me explain about the 'DETAILED SETTING'. (For the 'EASY SETTING', click it at the top of the screen.) 1. Change Photo You can select a photo for the counterpart tracker user. 2. General Information - Tracker User Name Enter the name of the counterpart tracker user. - Tracker User Phone Number Enter the phone number of the counterpart tracker user.
